Vedic and celebrity Astrologer, Vastu Expert and Motivational Coach Acharya Vinod Kumar recently addressed the issues one faces due to the presence of Ketu in their charts. He shared a series of long posts, titled ‘Get rid of Ketu—-!’, discussing how one can identify the problem, the effects of it and remedy it. The post has gone viral within minutes, and Kumar is happy that he is being able to reach out to so many people and help them.
He wrote, “It is true that when Ketu comes in its Mahadasha and Antardasha, it frees everything. A person also becomes a recluse in the dasha of Ketu. Ketu gives good benefits only in two houses. It gives very good results in the second house of the horoscope and in the eleventh house of the horoscope. Like other planets, Ketu gives results to the natives during its Dasha period. This planet is also considered to be the planet of separation, because under its influence the native gets disillusioned with worldly pleasures. Due to the cruel nature of Ketu, this planet is considered to be the factor of logic, intelligence, knowledge, quietness, and other mental qualities. It is said that when Ketu is in a good position in the horoscope, it gives benefits in these areas only. And in this condition it also causes harm.”
Kumar also mentioned that Ketu’s friend Devguru is Jupiter and enemy planets are Sun and Moon. And the even planets are Saturn, Mercury and Venus. “Due to the effects of Ketu, the planet on which it sits in the horoscope, there is a decrease in the intelligence of the person. In the Mahadasha of Ketu, a person feels disappointed everywhere and also has to face many kinds of problems. Along with this, Ketu is also able to give Kalsarp Yoga to the person (sic),” he mentioned.
Since Ketu has a torso devoid of any brain, the person in whose horoscope Ketu’s Mahadasha or Antardasha is on, the person starts working without using his mind. This is the reason why even when a lot of work is done during the Mahadasha of Ketu, there is no result.
“With the beginning of Mahadasha of Ketu, all the work either stands where it is, or the amount of profit from it remains full. With the passing of the Mahadasha of Ketu, the period of profit starts again and the efforts start getting proper results. It is not that the efforts made during Mahadasha of Ketu go in vain, their benefits are very often reflected in the upcoming Shukra Dasha. It starts in Mahadasha, but the period of Mahadasha of Ketu does not allow a person to enjoy its benefits. This is the reason why natives born in Mool Nakshatra are advised to perform Nakshatra Pujan within 27 days of birth. (sic),” he wrote further.
Highlighting remedies for the Mahadasha of Ketu, Kumar wrote, “To pacify Ketu, donate a two-coloured cloth to a poor person. Ketu is the flag, if one wants Ketu to give favourable results, then the native should put a triangular flag in the south-west corner of the house. Apart from this, the remedies for Mahadasha of Ketu can be told in an accurate way only by looking at the respective zodiac signs, related planets and the house position in the horoscope. The native of Ketu Nakshatra is said to be of Mool Nakshatra. Out of these, three Nakshatras namely Ashwini, Magha and Mool Nakshatra are the Nakshatras of the lordship of Ketu. These Nakshatras in the horoscope cause problems not only for the native but also for the parents.”
