Director Nag Ashwin, the creative force behind the highly-anticipated film “Kalki 2898 AD,” recently offered insights into his experience working with legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas. The film, scheduled for release in 2024, has garnered immense excitement among fans.
Speaking at Asia’s Largest Science and Technology Festival at IIT Bombay, Nag Ashwin received a warm welcome, and the audience eagerly sought details about collaborating with mega-superstars. In response, the director emphasized the humility of all the actors involved, making the directorial process remarkably smooth.
Addressing the challenges of creating a VFX-heavy film in India, Nag Ashwin acknowledged the difficulties but expressed optimism about the ongoing progress. He mentioned, “Crafting a VFX-intensive film in India is undeniably challenging. However, we are witnessing improvements, and we are very close to achieving our vision.”
For those unfamiliar with the project, the team of “Kalki 2898 AD” made a grand appearance at Comic Con USA earlier in the year. The star-studded event featured Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Nag Ashwin, and producers Ashwini Dutt, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka Dutt. The film is poised for a pan-India release in 2024.
