The 21st edition of the Transmedia Gujarati Screen and Stage Awards recently took place at the Tulip Star Hotel in Mumbai, honoring the outstanding contributions of artists and technicians from the Gujarati film and television industry. Managed by Jasmin Shah, the awards ceremony has been a prestigious event for the past two decades, recognizing talent and celebrating achievements.
This year’s event witnessed the presence of esteemed personalities from the industry, including actors Sharman Joshi, Deepshikha Nagpal, Manav Gohil, Arjan Bajwa, producer Anand Pandit, Ganesh Jain, Urvashi Solanki, Kashish Khan, Myara Khan, music director duo Sanjeev-Darshan, and Jayantilal Gada, among others. Sharman Joshi was honored with the Late Govindbhai Patel Maharathi Award, adding to his illustrious career.
The awards ceremony aimed to uplift morale and acknowledge the remarkable work of individuals associated with the Gujarati stage and film industry. It featured captivating performances by talented artists and was broadcasted on Colors Gujarati and Colors Gujarati Cinema channels.
Among the notable awards, actor Anang Desai received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Dharmendra Gohil and Mansi Parekh Gohil were recognized as the Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively, for their performances in “Gujarati Film Chal Manva Jeetva Jaiye 2” and “Kachchh Express.” Pallav Parikh was awarded the Best Director for his exceptional work.

In the realm of Gujarati drama, Manali Kantharia and Shaunik Vyas were honored as the Best Actress and Best Actor for their roles in “Kesar” and “Man Magna Hua,” respectively. Padmesh Pandit received the Best Director award for “Om Namah Shivay,” while “Kesar” was acclaimed as the Best Drama.
Special recognition was also given to individuals such as Shri Mahesh Naresh and Lily Patel, who received Special Awards and the Lifetime Achievement Award, respectively. Actor Deepak Antani was acknowledged with the Transmedia Special Award for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi.
Additionally, Manav Gohil and Viraf Patel were recognized for their performances in Gujarati films on OTT platforms, receiving the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards for “Chandlo” and “Kachchh Express,” respectively.
