Nivedita Basu (VP Content and Business Alliance, Atrangii TV and OTT), is out with a brand new show Kink Kiss Ishq N Konnections. With drama, suspense and action, this reality show promises to stand apart from the other relationship-based shows on the screen today.
“See, being a channel called ‘Atrangii’, we had to do something out-of-the-box. We wanted to do something which was to do with relationships or rather relationships being tested. There were a lot of reality shows where singles went to find their couples. We wanted something where we could test their sincerity towards their relationship. That’s why we made ‘Kink’ Kiss Ishq N Konnections,” she says.
She adds, “I actually understood the USP of the show much later, when the show was already underway. This is the only reality show where you go in as a couple, but you win as an individual. So, while people perform as couples, there is also competition amongst themselves and it’s not necessary that if you have come as a girlfriend and as a boyfriend, you will win with your counterpart. If the boyfriend is not performing, the girl has the right to out do him and do better.”
The show will be hosted by reality TV star Divya Agarwal, who has won shows such as Ace of Space and Bigg Boss OTT.
“After having so many reality shows already in the market, we had to do something different, something ‘atrangi’! There were a lot of couple games; both physical and mental that we did. In fact, there were a lot of sexy games as well which we did. We didn’t objectify anything, we used it as a fun element and I was very happy about how it came out,” she says, adding, “Anyone who watches Bigg Boss or Splitsvilla or Roadies will watch Kink. After being a contestant for many years, Divya Agarwal is now going to be a judge. And, all I can say is that she did a fabulous job. We were so glad that we took Divya. It was an aspiration for the other contestants as well because they saw her journey and then they felt that it was a nice stepping stone to grow and become something later in life
