The joint event, which runs from October 10th to 12th, 2023, will focus on promoting greening practices, raising awareness about the importance of trees, green living concepts, and vertical gardening. With the support of the BMC’s Garden department as a principal partner, the event aims to bring together industry professionals, organizations, and experts in the field of landscaping, gardening, outdoor living, and the leisure industry.
Mumbai, as part of the Cities4Forest initiative, has pledged to protect, conserve, and manage its natural ecosystems, showcasing its commitment to sustainability. As a significant consumer of landscaping products, trees, and pot plants, Mumbai plays a vital role in meeting the demands of the emerging landscape and vertical gardening industry.
The modern landscape industry is experiencing growth, driven by urbanization and industrialization, with various projects underway across India. This includes the development of airports, highways, sports stadiums, golf courses, malls, convention centers, green belts, amusement parks, open spaces, and residential townships. These projects are redefining the concept of green living in contemporary India.
The 16th International Landscape & Gardening Expo 2023 will be supported by various organizations and trade bodies, including ISOLA, SPA, ISLE, IEIA, GCS&MAI, Friends of the Trees, NESCO, GFCI, iFLORA, CHAI, ISOH, and others. The event is also set to feature a Global Conference on “Future Green Living Concepts & Tree Culture” and a “Special Session on Landscape Industry and Golf Course & Sports Infrastructure” with participation from experts in green living, urban development, landscape, golf course, sports industry associations, and government departments. The Honorable President of ISOLA has been invited to support and deliver the keynote address during the event.
