Rising star of 2023, Wamiqa Gabbi, is set to make history in the Indian entertainment industry by taking on the role of India’s first female detective in the highly anticipated web series, “Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley.” This thrilling murder mystery is an official adaptation of Agatha Christie’s beloved novel, “The Sittaford Mystery,” and is helmed by renowned director Vishal Bhardwaj.
Known for her exceptional performances and versatility, Wamiqa Gabbi is excited to lead this groundbreaking project. The series revolves around the character of Charlie Chopra, portrayed by Gabbi, who becomes entangled in a murder mystery as she attempts to save an innocent convict and uncover the real culprit in a town filled with suspects.

This collaboration marks the fourth venture between Wamiqa Gabbi and acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, following their successful projects such as “Khufiya,” the short film “Fursat,” and the anthology “Modern Love Mumbai,” in which they worked together on the episode titled “Mumbai Dragon.” Their partnership has consistently captivated audiences, heightening the anticipation for this upcoming series.
“Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley” is scheduled to premiere on Sony LIV on September 27th. Viewers can anticipate a gripping narrative, stellar performances, and a fresh perspective on the detective genre.
