Aasif Sheikh, popularly known as Vibhuti Narayan Mishra from the TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, is eagerly looking forward to the joyous occasion of Eid. As he prepares to celebrate, he fondly reminisces about the grand Eid celebrations that took place in his ancestral Haveli in Varanasi. He describes the enchanting magic of festivals in small towns and cities, where the dedication and efforts put into making the day special are truly remarkable.
Aasif Sheikh’s ancestral home in Varanasi holds a special place in his heart, as it is where his parents come from. He vividly remembers the extravagant celebrations that took place at his beloved Dada ji’s Haveli. With a large family, relatives and friends from near and far would gather, creating a joyful gathering of hundreds. The day would be filled with delicious food from morning till night, and the elders would generously give Eidi (gifts of money) to the younger ones. These cherished memories from the 1980s are still fresh in his mind.
While the nature of celebrations may have evolved over the years, Aasif Sheikh emphasizes that the spirit of togetherness and celebration remains the same. Talking about this year’s celebrations, he expresses his joy and excitement. He plans to be at home, surrounded by his family and friends, enjoying the delectable delights of sheer kurma (a traditional sweet dish) and aromatic Biryani. Additionally, he feels that no festival is complete without celebrating it with his Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai family. The show’s set has become his second home, and the entire crew feels like an extended family to him. As a tradition, he will treat them to a homemade Biryani the following day, sharing the joy and flavors of the festive season.
