Robin Sohi, a talented actor from a Punjabi Sikh family in Haryana, has made his mark in the entertainment industry with his acting skills. After completing his acting course from Zee Media institute and joining a theatre group ABSS, he made his debut with Savdhan India and went on to do several films and TV shows, including Ekta, Raja Abroadiya, Lafangey Nawab, Sanjeevani 2, and Naagin 6.
Now, the actor is excited about his upcoming project Ajooni, where he plays a negative role as the brother of the main lead. “I manipulate the lead’s family and make them my family and create chaos. It’s a cameo but a strong one,” he shares.
Reflecting on his journey in the industry, Robin shares, “I came into the industry at the age of 17 and did not know much about it or anyone in particular. I struggled during my initial days, but I kept working hard and learning.”
When asked about the importance of good looks for actors, Robin has a different opinion. “I don’t think looks matter in films and OTT, but for TV it does at some point,” he says. However, if he hadn’t pursued acting, Robin would have started a restaurant.

Talking about the difference between Bollywood and TV, Robin explains, “TV is a different world altogether from films. People, crew, actors… Everything is different in films. We don’t have to rush when working on a movie, we have time to understand and develop our character. But in TV shows, there is a very limited time to shoot, plus there is a huge budget difference.”
Robin is also open to doing Punjabi films if offered. “Punjabi is my mother tongue, so apna pan sa lagta hai while shooting. The Punjabi industry has a worldwide audience and I would like to reach out to them through my work,” he says.
It’s clear that Robin Sohi’s passion for acting and dedication to his craft has paid off, and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the screen in his upcoming projects
