Actor Shanatanu Maheswari celebrates one year of his blockbuster debut ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ today. Starring opposite Alia Bhatt, Shantanu played the character of Afsaan who sewed love into the ruthless life of Gangubai. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarab and Seema Pahwa amongst other actors.
On the occasion of the film’s anniversary, the heart throb took to social media to extend his gratitude towards his director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, co- star Alia Bhatt and cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee. Shantanu Maheshwari says, ” It feels like it all happened yesterday but it’s been a year now… what a life changing experience this movie has been for me… right from not expecting anything to living small moments during the whole process… to doubting if it’s really happening for me… to learning from the legends #sanjayleelabhansali sir @sudeepchatterjee.isc sir and @aliaabhatt … it’s been a fabulous journey… it’s not just a film for me but an emotion (I know cliche- but while typing is when I realised the depth of this line)
