Actress Kangana Ranaut spoke candidly about a number of topics during the Times Now Summit, including an old comment she made about actor Urmila Matondkar.
The Bollywood actress Urmila Mantondkar was referred to as a “soft pornstar” in a remark made by actress Kangana Ranaut, who has now spoken out about it. The actress then clarified that the term “pornstar” is not “objectionable.” Speaking with Times Now Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar at the Times Now Summit 2024, she claimed that pornstars in India are held in high regard—just ask Sunny Leone.
“Is it wrong to say that terms like’soft porn’ or ‘pornstar’ are offensive?” she asked. Not at all! This term is not offensive. It’s simply a socially unacceptable word. Poore world mein kisiko nahi mil sakta, humare desh mein jitna pornstar ko respect milta hai, puchiye Sunny Leone watch.” “Returning to my earlier statement, what I’m trying to convey is that Urmila (Matondkar) is questioning why the BJP party is hosting her. That was the query she posed. Thus, I think that there are various categories of art.
Sensational art what we term “massy art” is another kind of art that is, art that only tickles or physically excites the viewer. However, that will never surpass intellectually stimulating work that satisfies your mind and intellect.” She continued.

Kangana went on to say, “In my opinion, I am a member of that clan of balanced filmmakers. I have consistently stated that I have never done item numbers. All I was trying to say was that if your filmography is good enough to get you invited to a party, then my body of work is much more stunning. In actuality, I’m asking why it’s more accepted in society to be a pornstar than a prostitute. Why do we see prostitutes with such disdain while we socially accept pornstars? Is it because their income is higher? due to their glamour? The way we handle prostitutes differs from that of pornstars.
