The guy who is making headlines almost every day, Kartik Aaryan leads the industry today especially after giving Bollywood the much-needed respite with the mega success of his film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 post the pandemic. The actor has come a long way in his journey, starting out from a small town in Gwalior to being one of Bollywood’s top superstars today.
In a recent interview with a leading weekly magazine, the actor opened up on his his journey started and his dream to be where he is today as he shares, “We are a family of movie buffs. With my parents and my sister, I would always watch new releases at theatres or movies on television. I was so much in love with that world that I desperately wanted to be a part of it. It started with the dream to become a hero.”
The ultimate mass hero that the industry has today is known to be a fan-made superstar and his relatability plays a large part in his meteoric rise, “My roots, my growing up in a town like Gwalior, is what makes me who I am. I will always be that person. Also, being from a small town not only makes me strive harder to reach the number one spot but also keeps me grounded. I can still go back and live that life,” he adds.
At a time when the industry seemed to be losing hope, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 came as the much-needed saving grace for Bollywood as he delivered the biggest hit of the year which it still continues to be. The film broke multiple records from trending globally on OTT to grossing about 250 Crs. worldwide, it was the first certified blockbuster of Bollywood since the pandemic.
