Indian actress and indie singer-songwriter Sanjeeta Bhattacharya has unveiled a new short film for her song “X Marks The Spot.” The film delves into the complexities of a relationship, highlighting that external circumstances, rather than the people involved, often lead to challenges in relationships. The song was written by Sanjeeta Bhattacharya and Prabhtoj Singh, and the visuals were created by Karan Kapoor. The short film provides a cinematic experience that complements the song, aiming to engage viewers on an emotional level. Sanjeeta Bhattacharya shared her experience of creating the film and expressed her desire for viewers to take a moment to feel the emotions portrayed in the visuals.

Her song “X Marks The Spot” reflects a personal journey of turmoil and serves as an intimate note she wrote to herself during challenging times. Sanjeeta’s work has touched hearts worldwide, and she was part of the Grammy-nominated album ‘Shuruaat’ with the Berklee Indian Ensemble. In addition to her music career, she made her Bollywood debut in the SRK-starrer action thriller ‘Jawan’ and has acted in shows like ‘Feel Like Ishq’ on Netflix and ‘The Broken News’ on Zee5.
For the short film and her music video, Sanjeeta collaborated with SLIPFAST FILMS and her fellow producers Inaara Gabrani and Karan Kapoor. The film features Sanjeeta Bhattacharya as Tara and Shiv Masand as Agastya. It was shot in Aksa Beach and a friend’s apartment and includes an extended version of the original song.
