Sheena said:
“To have Amar Prem premiere at Cannes was such a dream come true – especially in the week an Indian won Cannes Grand Prix for the first time! And now to win three Best Actress Awards in one week – I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude. Our film deals with a very difficult subject and I had to do a lot of research to understand what my character goes through with the loss of her husband and preparing for the time he’s gone, but now all of that work has been worth it and I hope that the film helps bring comfort and inspiration to anyone going through a similar experience.”
