She had reported them to the police for both sexual and mental harassment.

Under the 2013 Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, Asit Kumar Modi was found guilty after a four-month trial. The news was verified by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal to Etimes. She argued that the decision was in her favor because she provided substantial evidence.
She disclosed that Asit Kumar Modi has been mandated to reimburse her for the amount she was not paid as well as an extra sum for delaying her payment. He currently owes between Rs. 25 and 30 lakhs. She claimed that he has been hit with an additional Rs 5 lakhs for harassment.

On February 15, 2024, the verdict was rendered, but she was requested not to notify the media. Nevertheless, forty days have passed since the ruling, and she still hasn’t gotten her money her hard-earned cash. Despite being found guilty in the sexual harassment case, Asit Kumar Modi did not receive any formal punishment.
She continued by expressing her disappointment at both this and the omission of Sohil and Jatin’s names from the verdict. She expressed her happiness that her case has been proven to be genuine and that she did not stage this for quick exposure, but she expressed her dissatisfaction with the decision.
She stated that out of the three, only Asit Kumar Modi’s name was mentioned in relation to the allegations of sexual harassment. He also just had to pay a nominal fee, and they were not even required to offer an apology for their actions. Jennifer went on to say that accepting the sentence with joy will send the incorrect message, encourage others to make the same mistakes, and get away with meek punishments.
According to Jennifer, the amount of money received is not a good indicator of a woman’s self-respect. She expressed her gratitude to her attorney once more, but claimed that the money was insufficient to compensate for her medical costs, lost income, reputational harm, and psychological distress.
