Actress Vedita Pratap Singh, who got hitched to Aaron Edward Sale in the USA in January 2021, hosted a wedding reception for her family members and close friends in her hometown Lucknow on Thursday. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the couple could not come to India earlier.
The actor, known for films in Hindi like Bhindi Bazaar, The Past, Mumbai 125 km, JD, etc. was last seen in ‘The Hidden Strike’ a digital film on the surgical strikes by India. Speaking on the occasion she said; “When it comes to the sartorial line-up for your big day, traditional outfits obviously have the monopoly. The Indian wedding reception was the perfect event for me to personalize my garments. I chose a white lehenga with golden design elements to give a flavor of both purity and royalty. Whereas Aaron chose a sea blue and silver bandhgala that complimented his eye color as well as my look for the evening.”
Originally from Lucknow, Vedita got into the limelight when she won Channel V’s India’s Hottest 2008–09 season. Later she starred in a touring production of Taash Ki Patti, a play by Kadar Khan that was taken around India and also presented in Dubai. A national champion swimmer, Vedita was also seen on various television shows. “Pheras are an integral part of our tradition, and hence we had to complete it no matter what. Indian rituals and culture are extremely important to me. It was a close-knit affair only having immediate family members and a few friends. Aaron leaves for the Caribbeans in the 1st week of October for his work and I leave by November” said Vedita as she signed off for the moment.
