Actress Kaajal Shankhwaarr, who is part of KINK 2, says that she is cautious while playing Holi. She adds that while she loves the festival, she exercises caution while playing.
“It can be a little risky if the colours get into your eyes. That can be dangerous for both kids and adults. Water balloons filled with coloured water are also risky. But at the same time, Holi doesn’t feel like Holi without these elements. So, it should be played safely while still having fun,” she says.
She adds, “Water balloons can be fun, but they are not the safest way to play Holi. They can cause bruises and even hurt sensitive areas like the eyes. It’s better to celebrate with dry colours or controlled water play to keep the festival enjoyable and safe for everyone.”
As for her skin and hair, she makes sure to take care of them too. “I try to avoid playing with harsh colours because they are very bad for the skin and hair. But gulaal is fine, and water is okay to a certain extent. If you leave gulaal on your skin and hair for too long, it dries them out, damages tissues, and is not healthy,” she says.

She adds, “So, my advice is to keep washing it off. Apply it, enjoy it, and then wash it off—just don’t overdo it.”
However, she makes sure to enjoy herself as well. “If I had to describe myself in a colour, it would be golden. I have always been in my masculine energy until now, but I would like to embrace my feminine energy more. Also, I love pastel shades, especially very light pink,” she says.
