On the occasion of World Kindness Day, director Karan Gulianii, who is known for projects like Amrinder Gill, Ranjit Bawa-starrer Savann, which was produced under Priyanka Chopra’s banner, and Amritsar Chandigarh Amritsar, starring Gippy Grewal and Sargun Mehta, said, “I believe kindness is something that still exists in the world, even though it feels like it’s decreasing day by day.”
“Earlier, relationships and efforts were balanced like 70-30 or 60-40. But now, it feels like things have shifted to 40-60 or 30-70. Still, kindness is there, and there are people who truly value and practice it in their lives,” he added.
He believes that everyone is in a rush to become rich, and on the way they overlook the other person; however, being kind to them and their needs can help one grow.
“The problem today is that many people want to become billionaires overnight. Nobody wants to put in the hard work or earn success in the right way. Instead, they chase after quick results, and in the process, they lose sight of the morals and values that truly matter,” he said.

“Some people think that whatever they are doing is justified as long as it helps them achieve their goals. But if we pause for a moment and try to see things from another person’s perspective, we might realize that some actions can cause harm. Thinking from someone else’s point of view is important—it helps us understand the impact of our choices,” he added.
Karan believes that everyone is kind, but mentioned that in the rush to achieve fame, money, or success, they sometimes forget this kindness. “Our parents teach us to be kind, but the pressure of life can make us lose touch with those lessons. Fame and recognition are temporary; they don’t last forever,” he said.
“People might know you today, but after a few years, they may not even remember your name. What truly matters is the legacy of kindness and goodness you leave behind. At the end of the day, I believe life is about making a positive impact and staying true to your core values. Fame and success are fleeting, but kindness and the good you do for others are what truly live on,” he ended.
