Krishna Kotian who ended the last year with the Marathi film ‘Bal Bhaarti’ is looking forward to his next release ‘Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh’ wherein he essays the character of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. The actor who made his debut at the age of 51 opposite Rajnikant in the film ‘Darbar’ was seen last year in Drishyam 2, PhysicsWallah, Criminal Justice 3, Rocket Boys, Avrodh2, and The Bestseller.
Commenting on the association the actor said “The storyline is very fresh and is something that is unheard of. It will make the viewers think from all perspectives. Also, working with Rajkumar Santoshi is like an acting school itself. Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad was an interesting character to enact as there is nothing much written about him and one must be very particular in portraying the historic characters. I am glad to be associated with this project and I hope the audiences love it equally.”
Krishna had two releases in the month of December 2022 – Sphere Origins Marathi family entertainer film Baal Bhaarti – in which he was also the Project Consultant and PhysicsWallah on Amazon. “As an actor, am always hungry for subjects that are socially relevant. Simplicity and entertainment quotient are the magical ingredients that I always looked out for when since I began my journey. God has been kind and at the moment my hands are full – I hope that the audiences continue to shower their love on me as they have always done in the past and I will continue entertaining them with the same sincerity and zest however large or small my character in the story turns out to be” said Krishna as he signed off for the moment. The actor’s journey from the corporate world to entertainment at the age of 51, encourages many to follow their dreams, regardless of the challenges that may come up.
In 2023 Krishna will be seen in Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, Adipurush, Sam Bahadur, and an untitled Dharma project
