While some may look around for inspiration, for actor Nikhil Nanda, it is his spiritualism and belief in the divine. The actor, who will soon be debuting with the web series Criminal Minds, says that he has always learnt a lot from the teachings of Hanuman Ji.
“Hanuman Ji is my role model, his character has always stood apart. Tyag, Seva, Samarpan aur logo ki bhalai was his sole motive. He was always at the forefront. In fact, many people give credit to Hanuman Ji for Lord Ram’s win. I always try to emulate Lord Hanuman’s nature in my life and I think nobody can be a better role model than him,” he says.
Some people don’t believe in the concept of a role model, which is not possible, says Nikhil, adding, “People who don’t believe in role models or don’t consider anybody else as big enough or smart enough to be a role model for them, they are just full of ego within themselves. To each to its own but this is what I think
The only constant in this world is change and the change itself is good enough to keep you motivated. The biggest strength that an entrepreneur carries within himself is being self motivated. Motivation is a basic ingredient when it comes to an entrepreneur or even an actor. Everybody has their lows and highs. Whenever you see that things are not going your way, you just need to work harder.”

Ask him what success means to him, and he says, “Success is a very subjective state and it means different to each one. For some, success is ambition, for some it’s money or doing well at your job. For me, success is being happy. As long as I am happy and healthy and doing my best, I feel I am successful.”
