Ranndeep R Rai, known for his role in “Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2”, has been a part of the television industry for nine years. He acknowledges that the stories in Hindi television are similar, but the way of portraying them is different. He emphasizes that execution is the key to creating a unique experience for the audience.
“Stories are all the same in Hindi television, that’s what we have been watching since childhood. More or less the stories are the same but the way of portraying them is different,” he said. This statement is reflective of the entertainment industry in general. However, he believes that the increasing demand for content has created more job opportunities. “I think it is great that the work has increased, people are getting employed, and I hope that those who are still on the lookout find the right kind of work,” he said. He hopes that the industry continues to grow and create more jobs for everyone involved in the production process.
Rai also mentions that the web series market has become massive and is creating opportunities for actors, crew members, and supporting teams. He is pleased that more actors from the South are now working in Bollywood. He said, “There’s so much content people are working on. The actors from the South are working in Bollywood. I am happy that suddenly so many changes have come and the web market has become massive. There are web series made of 5 – 7 episodes. It’s good that not only the actor but the crew and supporting team who are needed to create a product are getting work.”

While he is satisfied with his career graph, Rai admits that his show “Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai” is the closest to his heart. “It’s been nine years since I began working in the industry. So far, ‘Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai’ is something that I cannot forget. It established me in the industry and gave me a name and fame. The character Sameer will always be close to my heart,” he said. This is a common sentiment among actors who have had a successful show that they have worked on for an extended period.
Ranndeep R Rai is content with his career so far, but he admits that he always wants to do more. “I am completely satisfied with my career. When I entered the industry, I thought I wouldn’t even be able to do an ad film, but I did. But you know it’s a human tendency that no matter how much you work, it always feels less, so I feel I haven’t done anything yet. I will always start a new beginning with a new show every time,” he concluded. This mindset is essential for actors who want to continue to grow and challenge themselves with every new project.
