On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, &TV actors Mohit Dagga, Himani Shivpuri, and Shubhangi Atre shared their plans for shopping and celebrations. Dhanteras is a day when people buy new things to symbolize good luck and prosperity.
Mohit Dagga:
Mohit, known for his role as Ashok in “Doosri Maa,” revealed his family’s tradition of celebrating Dhanteras with reverence. They start the day by cleaning the house and then embark on a shopping spree. Mohit plans to join his wife and daughter in buying new clothing and accessories for Diwali. This year, they also intend to purchase a gold coin and a broom, considered auspicious for the occasion. Mohit emphasized the importance of appreciating the wealth of health and extended warm wishes for Dhanteras.
Himani Shivpuri:
Himani Shivpuri, famous as Katori Amma from “Happu Ki Ultan Paltan,” expressed the significance of Goddess Lakshmi’s visit on Dhanteras. To welcome her, they light lamps, decorate the entrance with rangoli, and perform a special puja seeking blessings for health and prosperity. Himani plans to buy gold jewellery, decorative items for her house, and utensils, all considered auspicious. Additionally, she intends to provide a small bonus to household help and staff, emphasizing the joy of caring, sharing, and spreading happiness.
Shubhangi Atre:
Shubhangi Atre, known as Angoori Bhabi from “Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai,” fondly recalled family shopping traditions on Dhanteras. She prefers practical purchases fulfilling their needs. This year, Shubhangi plans to buy something in gold for her daughter, Ashi, such as earrings or a useful item for the future. She highlighted the significance of making memories, recalling the cherished gift of earrings from her mother on Dhanteras.
