I believe in celebrating every festival even if it’s Ganpati or Gudi Padwa. I am very excited for every festival. And in Mumbai it’s really big here. I stay away from my family but I believe in following every festival, I follow every ritual and it feels like home. Especially in Mumbai where every caste is celebrated in Mumbai with so much spirit and this is the best thing about Mumbai, Be it Eid, Diwali, Ganpati or Gudi padwa. And I do puja and make something sweet and I am really looking forward to it. It feels very positive on such an auspicious day. It makes me very happy.

I love festivals as I feel very positive. Gudi Padwa is the new year for Maharashtrians and Konkanis. Of course, there is a special vibe on the day. Every festival/ occasion is important and it is very colourful.

Gudi Padwa is celebrated on a large scale in Mumbai, Maharashtra. They celebrate this day as Lord Brahma has created this day, as well as everything on this planet. That’s why we celebrate Gudi Padwa. In Mumbai, it looks so beautiful at this time with all the rituals. It looks very colourful. There are so many cultures and festivals that we celebrate in every caste. And every festival has its own meaning which is so beautiful. My favourite festivals are Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri. Both of these festivals bring so much light and so much joy.

I enjoy every festival, whether it is in Mumbai or anywhere else in the country. The only occasion when everyone assembles is during festivals, and it is a really happy occasion. And particularly after I moved out from Kolkata, I have participated in a number of festivals like Gudi Padwa, Lohri, and others. All of the festivals’ vibe makes me happy, and I love it.

Happy Gudi Padwa to everyone! I look forward to festivals because I adore them. I look forward to festivals for several reasons, including preparation, wearing Indian clothing, eating sweets, and socialising. We Indians are fortunate to have so many festivals, and each festival is exciting and has a purpose. I love learning about, understanding, and thoroughly experiencing our festivities.
