Mankind’s love affair with chocolate spans centuries, captivating hearts and taste buds alike. Even today, this delectable treat continues to be cherished by people of all ages and from every corner of the world. As the world celebrates World Chocolate Day, a trio of talented actors from &TV, Aayudh Bhanuhali, Gazal Sood, and Vidisha Srivastava, graciously reveal their deep-rooted love for chocolate, accompanied by delightful memories that will leave you craving for more.
Aayudh Bhanushali, popularly known as Krishna from “Doosri Maa,” shares a heartwarming anecdote about his undying love for chocolate. He confesses, “I can devour five to six bars of chocolate in one go, only if my mother allows me to do so (laughs). Aware of my fondness for chocolate, she often tries to hide it from me, but somehow, I manage to find it. On my birthday, I received numerous chocolate gifts, and my mother hid them away in a suitcase.
When I requested a chocolate bar, she agreed on the condition that I would go to sleep on time. However, when she opened the suitcase, she discovered that there was no chocolate left! Initially puzzled, she started searching for it elsewhere. Unable to contain my amusement, I burst into laughter. Now, she takes extra precautions to ensure I don’t consume excessive chocolate. I’m certain everyone has their fair share of funny chocolate memories like mine. Here’s wishing everyone a delightful World Chocolate Day!”
Gazal Sood, who portrays Kate Singh in “Happu Ki Ultan Paltan,” playfully discloses her inseparable bond with chocolate. She jests, “Chocolate and I share an inseparable bond. I enjoy chocolates so much that if someone wants to get a favor from me, they’ll have to bribe me with dark chocolates (laughs).

I distinctly remember receiving fifty different types of chocolates anonymously on Chocolate Day during my college days. It was overwhelming! My friends started teasing me about having a secret admirer, but it was a delightful gesture. Till date, the identity of that chocolate benefactor remains a mystery.
I genuinely wanted to thank that person for being the ‘Willy Wonka’ of my life, but alas, I haven’t found them yet. I believe no one can resist indulging in chocolate. So, let’s celebrate this special day by savoring some mouthwatering bites and surprising our loved ones with sweet chocolate gifts.”
Vidisha Srivastava, better known as Anita Bhabi from “&TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai,” passionately shares her love for chocolate and its delectable delights. She confesses, “I am a big fan of chocolate and its delicacies. Sipping a cup of hot chocolate is one of my favorite things to do, especially during the monsoon season.
I can experience chocolate cravings anytime, and I’m constantly experimenting with interesting sweet combinations using chocolate. Once, while on an outdoor shoot in a secluded location, I realized I had forgotten to stock up on chocolates. Desperately searching for a nearby shop, I discovered it was too late, and the market had closed. I attempted to divert my mind, but the urge for chocolate was unstoppable.
After rummaging through my room, I stumbled upon two small homemade chocolates wrapped in foil paper and a few biscuits. Determined to satisfy my craving, I melted the chocolates, added some milk, and poured the mixture over the biscuits. It took me nearly three hours to fulfill my desire, and by the time I finished, it was 2 in the morning. This experience reminded me once again that my love affair with chocolate is truly timeless, much like many others!”
