Jio Studios unveils ambitious slate of 100 movies and web-series, featuring top talent in the Indian entertainment industry, with a focus on diverse storytelling and regional languages.
Jio Studios, the media and content arm of Reliance Industries Limited, has announced its upcoming slate of over 100 movie and web-series titles, featuring some of the biggest names in Bollywood. The studio has collaborated with renowned filmmakers like Raj Kumar Hirani, Sooraj Barjatya, Dinesh Vijan, Ali Abbas Zafar, Aditya Dhar, Prakash Jha, Amar Kaushik, and Laxman Utekar to produce stories across genres of films and original web series in multiple languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, South and Bhojpuri.
The star-studded lineup includes Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dunki, a film with Amitabh Bachchan, and sequels to Bhediya and Stree. Bloody Daddy featuring Shahid Kapoor, an untitled film with Shahid and Kriti Sanon, Bhediya 2 with Varun Dhawan, Bhul Chuk Maaf starring Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor, Stree 2 with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Section 84 are also part of the slate.
Apart from these highly anticipated movies, Jio Studios has also announced its web originals, including Laal Batti, a political thriller helmed by Prakash Jha, and the digital debut of Nana Patekar. The studio is focusing on the Bengali market by entering into a multi-year, multi-film collaboration with SVF Entertainment, featuring top talent like Mithun Chakraborty, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Jisshu Sengupta. Additionally, the studio is backing Gujarati cinema and presenting an exciting lineup, including Bachubhai with veteran actor Siddharth Randeria and Ghulam Chor with popular actor Malhar Thakkar.
