Soham Majumdar, renowned for his roles in films like “Kabir Singh,” “Dhamaka,” and “Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video,” is set to join the cast of the upcoming film “Pippa,” sharing the screen with Mrunal Thakur and Ishaan Khatter. In this new project, Soham will embody a distinctive character involved in covert operations during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
Describing his role, Soham shares, “I portray a character who operates behind the scenes during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. I work under the command of Mr. R.N. Kao, who played a pivotal role in setting up the Communication and Analysis Wing, now known as RAW. My character is fictional and represents the often overlooked individuals who support the war effort by deciphering and decoding enemy messages, contributing to the overall success of the mission. While the sacrifices of frontline soldiers are immense, our work involves critical code-breaking and cryptography, aiding in the ultimate victory of the war. It’s a fascinating role that sheds light on the vital but less-recognized aspects of wartime efforts.”
Expressing his working experience with Raja, the director of “Pippa,” Soham emphasizes Raja’s exceptional directorial skills. He recalls an incident where Raja insisted on waiting for a missing lamp to ensure perfection. About his co-stars, Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur, Soham praises their passion for the craft. He describes Ishaan as deeply passionate about storytelling, and Mrunal, his co-star from “Dhamaka” and “Pippa,” as not only a talented actress but also incredibly kind. Mrunal plays a character working for R.N. Kao in the film.
In “Pippa,” Soham Majumdar and the talented team aim to bring untold stories of those who served behind the scenes during the Indo-Pak war to the forefront. Their collective dedication promises a cinematic experience that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact.
