Aastha Aggarwal’s journey has taken her from her roots in India to the bustling streets of New York City and from studying business to embracing the world of modeling.
Early Life and Education:
Aastha was raised in Mumbai and Pune, India. She attended The Bishops School in Pune for her primary education and later continued her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School. During her childhood, she actively engaged in social philanthropy and volunteered for organizations like Shuffle as a writer and Angel Express as an English instructor. Aastha also nurtured her spiritual side, participating in philosophy courses and meditation programs under the guidance of spiritual leaders such as Sadguru, Art of Living, and Brahma Kumari.
Her academic journey led her to Fordham University in New York City, where she pursued a major in Business Studies. While at Fordham, she delved into the works of renowned philosophers like Sartre, Nietzsche, Plato, Aristotle, and Descartes.
Transition to Modeling:
Aastha’s foray into the world of modeling began when she was discovered by photographer Matvey in New York City. This encounter marked the beginning of her modeling career. Since then, she has been actively involved in various modeling projects and events in New York City.

Aastha has graced the runway for a range of esteemed designers and fashion events, including Lone Star Collection, Mike Sylla Couture, Shekhar Rahate, Adrian Aliciea at NYFW Fashion Sizzle SS 23, HiTech Moda 22 FW, Tonni 86 Couture, and Walter Baker in SS 2021. She also walked for Andres Aquino in June 2021 and participated in other NYC Live fashion shows. Her modeling endeavors extended to catalog photoshoots for brands like Maison Zelani, Bhoomki, and Maui by Lolita.
She had the opportunity to feature in multiple editorials alongside creative artists in New York City and even appeared on a billboard in April, showcasing bridal wear.
Balancing Act:
Before making her debut at NYFW presentations with Sustainable Fashion Week in 2020, Aastha embarked on a modeling journey that involved test shoots over a couple of years. She meticulously balanced her modeling pursuits with volunteering at The Isha Foundation in New York City, where she helped deliver food to senior citizens. Additionally, she completed internships in finance, media, and politics.
Aastha’s journey has been one typical of an artist, filled with challenges and a relentless pursuit of her passion.
