Fashion director and stylist Mohit Kapoor is on cloud nine as he has crossed more than one million followers on Instagram. Calling it a “roller coaster ride”, he says that every new follower has felt like a milestone for him.
“It’s been a roller coaster ride on Instagram for me. I started by showcasing my work on my profile – my styling and creations – and gradually built a large audience base. Crossing the 1 million followers mark is thrilling as it shows that my work speaks for itself,” he says.
He adds, “Unlike other fashion influencers, my profile focuses on creating personas with clothes. It features stylistic looks of actors from cinema, TV, and OTT platforms, along with leading models, fashion influencers, and my own stylistic swag. I have showcased creations with prominent fashion designers in India, including Sabyasachi, Varun Bhal, Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna, and Rina Dhaka. Working with designers from Mumbai, Delhi, and across India adds a pan-Indian appeal to my profile. Additionally, I collaborate with designers in Dubai.”
He says that he has also proved himself in showbiz and social media success has been part of the journey. “My versatility as a fashion director earns love not only from the fashion fraternity but also from the showbiz industry. Social media is crucial in today’s time as people spend most of their time there, and it’s an excellent platform to showcase talent,” he says.

He thanks his fans for helping him get to this stage. “Getting love and encouragement from fans is the best feeling. I receive messages regarding new looks, inquiries about careers in styling, and casting opportunities. I try to reply to all of them; sometimes, it may be delayed, but I make sure to respond. Despite occasional trolling, I believe patience is key; it’s a part of social media. Focusing on doing the best work possible is important. Nowadays, people consider social media following, but I think if we do professional work, the audience connects. Trust me, social media is the best place for networking and good business,” he says.
