The spotlight shone on the Kannada film “Mrityorma,” which received four awards, including Best Director for Sudhir Attavar, Best Film, and Best Actress awarded to Nivedita. The film’s success underscored the diverse and impactful storytelling honored at MWFIFF.
The audience was treated to an enchanting musical night, with Anup Jalota crooning soulful melodies like “Teri Aankhen” and “Aisi Laagi Lagan.” Agam Kumar Nigam captivated with classics such as “Likhe Jo Khat Tujhe,” “Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki,” and “Badi Mastani Hai Meri Mehbooba.” International singer Lela from Georgia presented a unique rendition of Bollywood’s “Besharam Rang” and the English classic “We Will Rock You,” winning hearts with her performance.

The accolades extended beyond mainstream cinema, with the documentary film “No Water Land” directed by Saumitra Singh, winning the first prize. The film sheds light on a village in Nashik, Maharashtra, grappling with the deprivation of clean drinking water.
The acting prowess of TV Actress Deepika Singh was acknowledged as she won the Best Actress award for her debut film “Titu Ambani.” Tushar Pandey took home the Best Actor award, while Raghubir Yadav received recognition for the Best Supporting Role. Brijendra Kala was awarded a Special Festival Mention.

The film “Good Girl” clinched the Best Director award for Rajesh Balwani. Alexandra Taylor, under the category of Best Actress, and Manashi Sinha for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, were among the other distinguished winners.
Under the International Amateur Short Category, “Bali Frodo” emerged as the winner, while “The 7th Night MaoMao Revisits” secured the titles of Best International Animation Film and Best Director, respectively.
In the international film feature category, “Woman in the Maze” earned accolades for Best Actress (Meredith Vancuyk) and Best Director (Mitesh Patel).
