A Russian influencer, Zhanna Samsonova, lost her life due to starvation sometime back. According to news reports, she used to have only exotic fruits. Nath Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani actress Anupala Solanki says that these kinds of fad diets can be very unhealthy.
“After Covid 19, people have become health conscious but leaving everything becomes a disaster for your health . You need to balance your diet plan and annual health check up is required for each and every one. If you follow any diet plan that should be not more than 8weeks and this is my observation. I followed a diet plan in 2020 for 6weeks and I lost 5kg but the other side effect was that I used to feel weak and it was like, I could faint. In the past I fainted many times on set and that was because of my wrong diet plan,” she says.
She adds, “You need proper nutrition on your food. Vitamin D, B12 Carbs protein calcium etc 70% people have vitamin D and B12 deficiency in India and this is more dangerous then Covid 19. Due to Covid 19 you will die instantly but lack of vitamin D and b12 deficiency you feel be in stress, depression, cancer, stomach issues etc uncountable diseases and this slow death and why this all happening because of wrong diet plans. I request everyone to please not blindly follow any diet plan and if you are following, then it should be temporary for 7,8 weeks but don’t skip one food group completely.”
It’s important to have a good lifestyle as well. “People have late-night meals and that creates IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome) and reflux. This is because of a bad lifestyle. This is a common disease but they will make your life hell. So, my policy is to balance your lifestyle. I have seen lots of people drink too much water and that is also a poison for your body. You should drink water when you feel thirsty,” she says.

Talking about how to stay healthy, she adds, “Try to eat on time, sleep on time, eat junk food once in a blue moon, don’t quit your grains and calculate calories at the cost of vitamins, minerals, calcium fibre, specially Vitamin D and B12. Besides this, go for yearly annual health check ups. I made all these mistakes in my past and now I am trying to follow a good and healthy lifestyle.”
