Yerpedu, Tirupati District, June 15, 2024 — Lakshmi Manchu, Founder Chairperson & Managing Trustee of Teach For Change, inaugurated the first of ten smart classrooms at MPUPS Modugulapalem in Yerpedu today. This initiative, part of the Teach For Change movement, aims to bridge the educational divide and provide high-quality education to all children, regardless of socio-economic background.
The event featured distinguished guests, including Shri Praveen Kumar, I.A.S, Collector; Sri Dhyanachandra H.M, I.A.S, Additional Collector; Dr. V Sekhar, District Education Officer; and K Siva Sankaraiah, Academic Monitoring Officer. Also present at the event was the honourable MLA Bojjala Sudhir Reddy of Srikalahasti Constituency. The project was supported by CSR partner Ginni Finance Private Limited, whose generous contribution made the smart classroom project possible.
A New Era of Learning
In her keynote address, Lakshmi Manchu emphasized the transformative power of education. “Quality education is the cornerstone of a child’s development and future success. The smart classroom initiative is a step towards providing an equal opportunity for all students to excel,” she stated.

Shri Praveen Kumar, I.A.S, highlighted the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and the positive impact of such collaborations. “The introduction of smart classrooms will significantly enhance the learning experience and equip our students with the skills needed for the future,” he remarked.
Enhancing Educational Outcomes
The smart classroom project aims to improve foundational literacy and numeracy among children from low-income communities. By integrating advanced technology and interactive learning tools, these classrooms will make education more engaging and effective.

Bojjala Sudhir Reddy, Honourable MLA of Srikalahasti Assembly Constituency shared his insights and we quote,
“This is a wonderful initiative and I will ensure that Lakshmi’s wonderful work will be taken forward to every school of Andhra Pradesh. Looking at the wonderful work that she and her team, I can give an assurance that things will be done smoothly. The moment has come and our Government is a high-tech government where we believe in moving things very quickly. So we will do our best to push this wonderful initiative.”

Teach For Change aims to establish ten smart classrooms across Tirupati District, positively impacting hundreds of students. This initiative aligns with the organization’s vision of providing high-quality education to all children, regardless of their family’s income.
As the event concluded, Lakshmi Manchu reiterated the organization’s mission to transform government schools nationwide. “Our goal is to create an environment where every child can achieve their fullest potential.
