Shah Rukh Khan fans all over the world are celebrating the superstar’s 57th birthday today. Closer home too things are similar. His industry colleagues too are excited. Actor Anuj Sachdeva, who admires King Khan, conveys his good wishes to him. He talks about how the superstar making it big in Bollywood on his own is an inspiration for all and more.
“We know that very famous dialogue he said, ‘I will own the city someday’ that has come true and how. These are inspirational words for every actor who comes from outside to the city, who doesn’t have a Godfather, and wants to make it big in the industry. He has been the hope for all the actors, I believe,” he says.
Anuj feels that SRK is someone who gave many people the hope that even if you have nothing, you can still own it in Mumbai with sheer hard work, passion and dedication.
“Shah Rukh Khan is a self-made man, and his success story is definitely exemplary. When you don’t have anyone around who you can rely on or trust anyone, you can always trust your instinct to make things happen. He worked really hard, he still works hard in doing other things apart from being an actor, I believe he’s been constantly thinking day and night about how to maintain the level he has as ‘King khan’ of this industry. It’s probably easy to reach there. But at the same time, it’s not easy to maintain that level,” he adds.
Sharing his favourite films of the superstar, Anuj ends up saying he loves all of them, from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa to Chak De. He even loves all his latest films.
“I believe people go and watch him, not just the film. SRK fans flock to theatres to watch his films no matter what. I believe he’ll always be the number one guy in my life at least, whom I look up to and really wish that he comes back more often in the movies, and we get to see him in some good scripts,” he says.
Anuj feels lucky to have worked with him twice. “Once I did a commercial in 2012, and I was there for two days with him from eight to eight. I accepted that ad, just to look and observe him closely. I wanted to see how he works and imagines, basically his process. I remember it was break time and I was doing that commercial for Red Chillies and at that time he was promoting Billu. He did a print, and after that, he completed other meetings which happened at the same place and managed to do some other activities so quickly. I wish I had this energy, his talent, sharpness, wittiness, and charm. Also, the picture I clicked with him is an old picture and I look forward to click another one soon while working with him.” he ends.
