Music videos are back in trend and how. It is thought-provoking how independent artists have a huge role to bring back the good old music videos. While our films are not exploring many love stories, music videos that have been showcasing a gripping story of love have succeeded in the recent times.
We asked Shadab about the right concoction of a perfect music video and he replied, “It is important to tell the stories that are rooted in our culture and heartland. Gone are the days, when people wanted to see Switzerland in every frame. Nowadays, people want to relate to the content and feel that this is my story. Therefore, stories that reflect our culture are striking the right cord.
Anyway, India has so many cultures that we would never run out of content and premises.”
The director is himself an independent artist and he spoke about the struggles of being the same.
Shadab quips, “As an independent artist, sometimes, it is difficult to get projects that fit your vision and passion. Sometimes, the budget is too low and sometimes, the equipment could be an issue. But, I am lucky that I have had a few projects that I am really proud of. Allah Di Namaz is one of those projects.

I had the full liberty to just let my creative side explode and I love how the video has turned out to be. If you are an old school person who misses the good old school romance, you would love this song.”
